Hatchery Equipment & Specialist Plastic Fabrications.

Hatching Jars For Fish Eggs & Brine Shrimp.

We supply conical hatching jars, fabricated in clear plastic in two main sizes, which are ideal for the incubation and hatching of both fish eggs and brine shrimp.

The jars can be made in a variety of sizes to suit an individuals requirements from 6 to 30+ litres. The jars are conical in shape and have a 1/2" connection at the base. The hatching jars have an integrated spout at the top to allow the water/hatchlings to swim out into the hatching tanks. We have used these jars over a number of years and with a variety of species with excellent results. Species include carp, grass carp, tench and striped bass.

Because the jars are made of clear plastic, one is able to regulate the water flow precisely to suit the stage of development the eggs and to check them for any signs of infection.

Jars for hatching brine shrimp do not need a spout, however, having one allows the jars to be used for both purposes..

The jars can be provided with or without valves on the bottom inlets, however we recommend the use of diaphragm valves, as these provides far greater control of flow rates, which is of special importance during the early stages of incubation.
